I believed that life is boring when there is no music, I am really into music, music is where people can express their emotions, be it happiness or sadness and also music makes people understand each other better and can also strengthen a relationship, as long as I can have something to share with my friends and have something listened to especially when I am bored, music really energizes me in any way it can, such a great feeling, so I always want to be updated about the newest and the latest trend in music be it international or local. The past few days have been really cold, with a storm blowing in and dark rain clouds pouring buckets of water from the sky on and off for hours that the threat of floods is keeping everyone on his or her numb toes; as soon as the rain lets up, my father checks to make sure that the vent for the storm drain remains open to avoid water flowing over the roof and down the side of our house. Our house has seen better days already, and despite being built soundly, its age has begun to show by the leaks and drips from the ceilings whenever the rain continues to pour without letting up, as it has been doing now for the past day or two; the constant repairs done over the summer apparently is not enough, and it appears that a complete overhaul is needed to revamp the whole house to its former status, at least as far as structure goes. As the oldest of five siblings, I have become aware enough of the struggle our parents have had with raising us and keeping a sound roof over our heads, and most times there is not enough cash to go around to feed seven people and maintain the house in tip top condition as well; since it was the house my mother grew up in, she and my dad wanted to preserve it to the best of their ability just so that we kids can still keep this legacy of her family. On most days, it really is not that bad, and it is just during the rainy season that everyone in the family realizes that the house is in bad need of repair, and despite that, the mood inside is not that gloomy; contrarily, one can hear laughter as we kids run around trying to find the spots where the drips are coming from, so we can place some cans underneath to catch the water before it ruins the rugs or floor panels.

I can say that my wife is the best in raising our kids and juggling house management skills and a part time job for nine years. My wife requested last month that I am not to set any appointment on the third weekend of the month for she will be in a two day conference and will be flying to the Eastern Coast, then I happily obliged. That weekend, I will spending it alone with our eight year old and 9 month old kid, I am just lucky that my wife had prepared everything for us, our itinerary, meals and snacks, and all other necessary items and household task to attend to. She actually gave me a thorough discussion for the two day schedule she had prepared for me, with notations and all the phone numbers to call just in case I needed something quick. I really had a great time with my family this weekend and it has been more than a year since I visited our hometown and I am really glad that I came home over the long four day weekend. After graduating from college and having a job, I have been having a difficulty in finding some time to spend with my loved ones back in our hometown because there are just lots of things to do in the office regarding with my work and it has always kept me preoccupied and very busy. I am really glad that I decided to visit my family because I missed the moments where I can just relax and do things on a slow pace and I missed eating the cooked meals by my mom. I have never been so happy to see and be with my family once again and although this weekend has almost come to an end, I do not feel sad because I have so many wonderful memories to be treasured over the weekend with my loved ones. It is still more than hour before I am going to get on the plane but I am not going to be bored because there are so many memories in my mind that keep on flashing to me and the digital signage here in the terminal is also keeping me entertained especially when it flashes some random fun facts about anything under the sun. My dad is really fond of telling us fun facts when we were still young and everyday we would wait for him to tell us one before going to bed and it would really make our day.
